I used to winterize in Acetone and had some weird shit happen that I never could figure out. Bugs the shit out of me still.

That’s the biggest curse of having to actually do stuff for money right?: Not being able to get a complete understanding of the weird shit you find in your experiments. If it doesn’t pay the bills it doesn’t get finished and my pride and OCD cry every time

It’s one of the reasons I like this place. I was a horrible student and I hated academia but I love the idea of creating knowledge from scratch and that’s what we all do. It’s what academia should be but isn’t at all

It’s most likely some kind of lipid. Take a sample of your extract winterized in methanol at -80 and dissolve it in acetonitrile, more shit drops out that isn’t cannabinoids.
