Requires almost 1000 psi, so asme would be hard pressed to approve it

Hard mmeeeeehhhhh

Not really any reason why getting a 1000 psi vessel built for butane would be any different than any other fluid. It’s not lethal service

Same crude as the top just a different temp

(Jar on right was 5 degrees cooler on chiller)

Hi! I was away from the Future for some time but I do have a lot of info on the membranes . Went From solvent recovery to fractions to total disappointment and back to The apparition of What membrane tech can DO!!!
As of today I tried almost 30 different membranes so I can put some light on the subject.
Color is NOT a good representation of the final quality I learned it the hard way - WATER is present ( picked up from the biomass ) so sugars are easily slips in to the permit stream And Can make it yellowish (300-500 MWCO membranes was used for fractionation ) … Permit was yellow but contained mostly the sugars and lipids based on the COA results …my
Confusion was coming From the manufacture stated WMCO on the membranes (300-500 daltons) And surly I didn’t realize what this numbers are for the water and Salts and not for the solvent and Acidic cannabinoids surrounded by lipids and fats !
So I and up with few kilos of junk after final evaporation…(cbda was in 3% range and this was important finding !!!)
I did change The
sequence Of the Filtration and WOW - my bad results become a great results all the sugars together with the portion of lipids and fats are passing to the permit and the good stuff (cleaner cannabinoids fraction ) going to the reject! And reject is my keeper.
So now all the sugars fractions going to the solvent recovery membranes with the junk discarded and the sugar FREE former reject going to the next stage of
Membrane filtration.
I hope it helps
To be continued…

Sorry for the gramma

This was heptane crude which was dissolved 20:1 in ethanol, heptane wont pull sugars. I already have testing and have confirmed cannabinoid passage.

My was directly from the Methanol extraction

Any specific reason you are not filtering in heptane?
I get Best results so far With the last filtration of heptane

Because most ppl are using ethanol

Sorry get confused on the heptane crude…

That color remediation though

Warm extracted ethanol denatured with heptane crude winterized with a membrane

Are those in solution or straight oil?

Solution still, haven’t finished running it yet

I’ll recover it on the FFE tomorrow

Looks like I’m passing barely any chlorophyll if any

Gonna run it through my solvent recovery membranes in a little

Should have analytics by Wednesday

Is the bottom picture the oil or still in solution?

Both are still in solution

Bottom is starting crude

Top is winterized

Ill be handling recovery with my membranes later and will get pics with no solvent once recovery is finished
