I was always under the impression that thick skin meant that stuff doesn’t affect you.

Seems to me if you didn’t feel affected you wouldn’t feel the need to lash out. That’s how middle school bullies mental state works. They pretend that no one can hurt them, and they lash out at people they feel are weaker than them because they feel so helpless at home, usually because of shitty parents.

I’m sure you’re the exception to this, right?

Edit: I only say this because my fiance has her masters in psychology. I’ve done my fair share of research into the subject, so we have had discussions at great lengths in regards to people’s mental states.

I’m being genuinely serious, if you really feel that having this mindset in normal and acceptable, you could benefit greatly from a few sessions with a professional.

My lady is no longer in that field of work. People are stressful to try and help. She’s an IPM specialist in a cannabis grow now.

She just put in her 2 weeks notice because we’re moving. I won’t name the company for the sake of keeping her information personal. I can say it’s one of the top 3 largest grow facilities in Colorado.

Edit: Misunderstood the question. Honestly I have no idea, I’d have to ask.
