I mentioned a few years back that i suspected methanol and water contamination to be part of the rapid fast crash issue . What led me down the line of thinking was the product HEET . Its designed to be mixed with water contaminated gasoline so the water and solvents (gasoline ) all mix and burn . The main ingredient in heet is methanol this is what sent me down the rabbit hole . So normally this water would freeze and form ice in the solvent tank but the methanol keeps everything mixed and prevents the water from freezing unless its heavily contaminated. By then is too late and the solvent has a ton of water in it
