IES CO2 Extraction going out of business?

your likely more right than i am… in my situation… they are very close because im using anti sieze and not in a super high torque range that likely doesn’t strectch the threads… Not that much oxidation if any… im only using it on my carbon bikes where torque is ultra important. i never see more than a 5% difference and i know my torque wrench can be ±2%.

it was just a suggestion but a pretty bad one i guess.

there are charts for this stuff too…

Never tried that. To my arm, it seems like it always takes way more torque to break a bolt loose than to tighten.

We’ve heard that lots of people are having trouble with IES pumps, so I wanted to let you know that we are able to help. We do offer replacement equipment with more durable pumps, and can also look into solutions for your current pump.

I understand how frustrating it is to purchase an extractor only to find out that the company can’t service your machine. That’s why I wanted to reach out here.

Feel free to email me at ithompson@unitedscience.com, and we can figure things out. You can also text me on WhatsApp at +1 612-772-3912.

@real_extraktLAB So you do or don’t have a replacement pump ready to go for when someone with an IES machine has a pump failure? Because this post just reads like a sales pitch for Extraktlab machines

If you send us your pump, we will evaluate whether it can be repaired. If we are unable to fix it, we can look into replacements. Shoot me an email and we can set that up.

hey mate, I sent you a DM for the contact information.

@greenbuggy has no pump to send.

He’s asking if you do.

He appears to be correct that you don’t

Has anyone had any success keeping their IES extractors alive?

Hi Everyone,

I have a brand new CDMH.20-1x-1f for sale/lease located in Southern Maine. Prior to delivery in late 2019 it received various updates and it has been in storage ever since.

My client has an equipment lease agreement with me, but due to restructuring they never put it to use, as such, I’d be happy to sell and/or enter into a new lease with anyone who may be interested.

Feel free to send me a message if you’d like to discuss.

@SuperKamiGuru what issues specifically are you having?

Hi all,

I wanted to update this thread. We have been running our system again for some time. We ended up learning how to rebuild the pump ourselves and discovered what are the correct parts and gaskets are for the internals. Still a lot of issues with these pumps not lasting very long in between each rebuild, but that is more about the engineering itself than anything…

Wayne Morris and Nick Prahl, who used to be the service techs at IES, no longer have a gag order against them and are starting their own service support company, Full Spectrum Services LLC. They have continued to provide support to us and will be able to support anyone else who is still struggling with their IES. Shoot them an email at wayner27@gmail.com and nick.prahl16@gmail.com if you need help. They are great guys and extremely knowledgeable about these units. They are still getting their business off the ground but will be more than happy to help.

Godspeed
