So I just tested my brix levels on the same crop and, it was at 3. I just tested it last week and it was 12 almost 13. I did change a few things as Monday will mark week 7 of flower. Last week I dropped the Ca No3. Was still getting a little bit of Nitrate from the Grow Clean. Ca is supplemented solely by Ca Acetate. Brix was hovering near 13. This week I dropped all P. Not sure if that was a good idea because now brix is testing at 3. I am tapering down K, Ca, Mg, and S also. I figured I would give just Ph’d RO, with maybe a little fulvic, for weeks 7 and 8 and chop beginning of week 9. Maybe I should have just tapered down the P also, instead of cutting it out completely? Not sure what causes such a drastic decrease of brix or, what causes an increase of it for that matter either!
If you’re going to taper, keep your ratios the same and taper.
Flushing honestly isn’t as important on a high brix plant. If you test the sap of something low brix, you’ll see high ec(15+) on the sap, that high ec indicates high levels if inorganic minerals are present. In a high brix plant sap ec is usually sub 10ec due to the inorganic minerals being completed into organic compounds. Internally the plant is more similar to a plant grown using organic inputs.
