Capna is garbage, Centrifuge will get more done in 15 mins then your two capnas will Simultaneously
So capna recommends washing the trim 5 times over and over again, does this make sense to do this or is it better to just wash once or maybe twice at the most, ive been using the capna but the problem ive been having is the color, it comes out dark when we process the crude to distillate, looking for some answers if any of you can help!
Nope best just run hot in your distillation .
capna’s are limited. Super saturation does not get the job effectively and fast
Same trim & five fresh solvent washes?
Have you looked at the yields on each wash?!?
I do five washes with the SAME solvent over fresh trim. But I’m using a centrifuge.
So you do Five washes with Fresh Trim every wash??
Im just wondering if you wash trim using a centrifuge, how is it more effective than a capna. Capna only drains ethanol over the trim and let it drip down and collects after with negative pressure. A centrifuge spins the ethanol with the trim which might cause more agitation and effective saturation, am i right?
yes sir. 50lb of 12% hemp into 15gal of ethanol at -40C. ten lbs at a time. 15min cycle time.
gets about about 85% of available cannabinoids.
certain the new toy will do better once I can figure out how to feed the thing.
Do you guys know anything about dry ice and ethanol mix? Im wondering if you can throw in dry ice directly to ethanol to cryo it fast and then use the capna to cool down more before extraction?
If you type in “acidification ethanol co2 dry ice” into the search function it will pull a bunch of threads.
First link I found was
This industry is meant for taking data and sharing it. From Start to Finish. Explaining every step. No missing out. I can name 5+ haters who wish I wouldn’t share sops. Also a friendly forum user shared a similar VERY similar SOP so I cannot continue to focus on D8 till our labs are up and 100% operational and I can test…
You ever figure out feeding the piggy?
I’ve got a plan, still struggling with funding.
We have a Capna ethos 6, and are looking for help operating it? Would you might chatting?
Not the right tool for the job…it was a bad fit back in 2019 when @Fullspectrum207 described their experiences, it’s an even worse fit five years later with margins so much thinner
Where are you located & what are you trying to achieve with your white elephant?
