Tooker down to -25c and evaporated off 10l h2o hot and fast to test and the ending temp was -14c
Shut off at 2 am came back at 11am and the coolant was still at -6c - I think we have a winner!!!
Just need to throw some more paint down here and there but this will do quite nicely.

Perfect. You can use some Lowe’s pipe insulation on those lines to gain a few degrees lower

What material did you spray/paint on the condenser cooling in/out lines?
I think that’s condensation freezing onto the pipes, not a foam insulation

any updates on the use of this bad boy? what size roto are you cooling with it? did you see what size the compressor is? it appears to be a 1hp. what does your water bath temp get set to?
20L roto set at 130 with a full vac pulled
Tomorrow starting to use it to chill the still head on my bokabob but it’s so tall so I am going to be running a line up to a coolant reservoir and sucking heat via a stainless coil- that res will then pump to the boka head.
Chills down to -30C and can run all day usually ends the day around -12C which is totes acceptable.
I won’t be using the boka and roto at the same time but if I have to I’m just gonna drop a steel Pail filled with dry ice into the second reservoir to keep temps down as a temp fix

130F only because I haven’t gone into the manual and figured out how to change my rotos default temp setting to Celsius it’s maddening but idk that seems to be its happy spot with this pump

Based on the pics it looks like you’re using a submersible pump in the gylcol res?
How do you size your Rez is there a gallons per btu ratio?
Have had no need to so no- and yes they are submersibles
I got a larger res than I needed as I wanted the option to add more cooling power- currently I have 2 230L dewars of LN incoming so I will have plenty of extra time for working on the LN cooling system I’ve been working up in my head. Dry ice is obnoxious.

What kind of LLE did you do on the fluid to clean it?
