Ohh there you go! You should elevate one slightly so it fills one up first then you can close the valve and fill the other. That’s perfect because you can close them and not off-gassing back into the fresh vapor.

That seems like a pretty good solution, I run 31 gallon tall kegs so only having to flip a valve at the half way point to switch to the other 15 gallon, would significantly reduce how much time I’m spending touching things. I am also going to try an ARO I have around and see if it does well pumping against the vacuum, I think that might be the best solution because that would eliminate the vaporization of any ethanol in the collection side that could be occurring. Do you think the most important factor when thinking about the vaporization of ethanol from the collection pot is the surface area of the ethanol at the top of the vessel? Or do you think the total volume of ethanol in the vessel is the most important?
