There seem to be big diffrences to the US.
We are located in Germany. Here it is possible to buy alcohol without tax if you can proof that it is not used for human consumption, e.g. in a lab. If you buy a barrel it will cost you less then a dollar.
By the way: You could drink it if you want to^^
