I have been working on the nyborg systems ffe for a bit. It never reached 50 gph like he told my client but at least it has a recirculating mode.
I’m sure if you paid me or another consultant we could get your system to recirculate and even decarb in the ffe
technically you’re not using a falling film. they are vastly different systems.

If you’re saying its a 1:1 ethanol to resin that’s relatively standard for a lot of falling films. On the larger installs we do, we usually put a very large FFE for the majority of the solvent removal then a second smaller FFE to remove the residual ethanol before it goes to decarb.
I just recirculate with the discharge gear pump to get the last bit out and also Decarb in the ffe. All you need is a manifold, some hose and an extra hour at the end of each batch.
But when they’re trying to do thousands of pounds per day you can’t take up one system for two functions it needs to be completely continuous
Our FFE leaves 2-5% depending on run conditions… is this not normal?
Our Colorado Extraction Systems glass sprayvap does a damn good job. We still do a polish pass in a chemglass reactor to finish decarb and remove 1-2% residual EtOH.
