Faster ways to remove flower from CO2 extractor?

Have you tried pushing with 100+psi N2 or other vapor of choice into a wastebin? If the material is sticky then heat applied to the to the column with help push it out. Haven’t tried it with a CO2 extraction but works great after hydrocarbon extraction

How much ground flower are you packing in each 20L? And what consistency is the grind of flower going into the extraction vessel? Any idea of moisture content going in as well?

Ive been using the socks in a 20L vessel

We typically load 10 pounds into each 20L column. Material is ground with a Twister for 30 seconds and is similar to a medium to coarsely ground coffee. Moisture content is pretty low - typical dried and cured trim stored at about 50% humidity.

Nice. No yield losses for terpenes? Easy to remove? Do you pack them?

Socks won’t work well as the CO2 will channel and yield will drop. Easy removal is to valve a reverse flow to the exit - when you want to remove the biomass, remove the top cap, put a sock over the opening and reverse the CO2 flow - not too fast - it’ll pop right out. Medxtractor

@Scientific710 ALL DAY!

The auger for tying a dog up in the yard work pretty good and you can easily make them longer

If you call a machine shop and ask for a ( whatever size you want ) with auger flighting welded on it should cost you $200 or thereabouts. Here is a premade to give you an Idea Buyers-3018007-Replacement Stainless Steel Auger For SaltDogg® SHPE Series Spreaders | Nick's Truck Parts

Havent bothered with terp harvests on the 20L because of how much ethanol it takes to clean the system beforehand but we usually get a 10% yield by mass (on hemp) which is on point with our smaller systems. Removal takes no more than 15 seconds to pull the sleeve out and channeling is reduced by packing an inert media along the bottom of the sock before you start packing on top.
