Exotics grow log

You have alot more going than myself. I’m slowly adding in lights as I can, and learning from you great botanists. :+1:

At what point did indoor change is name to exotics?

I wonder too. Maybe just because that is the demand? And certain strains are just elite.

When you start paying 5k for cuts. Then it’s all exotics

It’s like driving a Ferrari vs a fiero.
I don’t think of myself as a good grower, so I get the best genetics I can. That way when I fuck it up it still comes out fire.

These same strains would be exotics outside :+1:
@FicklePickle hit the nail on the head.

Why would you not grow the best strains possible indoor? Why would you grow bullshit? I’m pretty confused because I was a hydroponic grower then switched to a hybrid setup in Oregon and I’ve never found anyone willing to invest in a indoor that was like fuck it I’ll not get the best genetics possible. If you’re paying 5k for a cut that’s not from berner handing it to you then I dunno. I never had those issues I guess especially out on the Westcoast. But I get it as they said in microeconomics, there’s no such thing as getting paid to much for something, the purchaser despite others opinions has a plan to monetize it and has justified that price to themselves. That is my opinion on 5k cuts

Getting what you think are the best genetics possible and what are actually the best genetics possible would be the difference. Quality is in the eye of the beholder.

So you’ve had berner hand you a cut ?

I got a cereal milk he selected, even though he’s a douche bag he does have good cuts.

Not saying he doesn’t have good ones, just saying the likelihood of someone personally getting a cut handed from the man is something we all as growers know wouldn’t happen. It’s nothing personal it’s just he’s not the one growing his cuts or selecting them. He’s a brand ambassador of his own company. Not like he’s gonna whip a floraflex box out he’d be more likely to hand you some mids pink rozay (I say that cause I tried it & wasnt impresssd)

Well it did and does happen

So you saying he handed you the cereal milk?

Ya he handed my friend it from the seeds he selected.

See but my direct question was for “you” not “for a friend” I’m not trying to be ignorant I’m honestly not. But IME unless said person grew the entire cut themselves & cloned it themselves & sent it to you or handed it directly to YOU then it’s not the same as getting the selected cut from an acquaintance. That’s like me saying yeah I got my cut of fritter directly from lumpy, when it came from a homie that paid for it.

You wanna split hairs go for it, i dont give a shit about berner or the hype or whatever. He went down there to grab them if i wanted to go i would have.

Not trying to make you upset or nothing but when you completely disregard the context of the question or conversation then it’s just plain & simple.

I’m sure we all got great cuts & genetics, no one needs to get all catywampous over this. We all send good genetics back n forth. I’m just saying no one credits the person that actually grew it or actually selected it. Just like everyone thinks berner runs shit for cookies, he don’t, bill does. & if you question that I can put you on the line with a fool that deals directly with their entire team.

I said i had a cut he selected that he handed to my friend who is a grower, so it does happen.

@Snook Salty cash cropper here. I grew Blue Dream for years because it yielded well, that’s what people knew by name and would pay for. It doesn’t mean its good. Same with Gorilla Glue. It stinks and it stretches, but it pays the bills.

Cookies strains never yielded well for me and Gilbert (Burner) is still a tool. I just grow them because my wife loves the terps and people pay top dollar for hype. I also appreciate strains that are unique or well-crafted.
