I’m looking at throwing 20HP motors on these pumps (pdf warning!) and then making it so the operator only needs to deal with stop/go/^@#$&%! buttons. somehow.

the fun part is gonna be learning the bits I need to teach the machine without doing anything too stupid.

We use a 2.5" diaphragm pump and control the pneumatic pump and valves with a PLC. Getting the automation right took some time, but now it is just a single button push to run the entire extraction cycle. 1-2 techs can extract 200-300lbs an hour, while filling and emptying bags.
