Dowfrost as a coolant for jackets on cls?

Hi everyone, I’m wondering if anyone has any expericne using this stuff as a coolant for your closed loop jackets.

https://www.amazon.com/Dowfrost-HD-TM-Propylene-Glycol/dp/B00NQKSL2A/ref=pd_aw_ci_mcx_mh_mcx_views_0?pd_rd_w=M5WYn&pf_rd_p=e5699754-bce3-498f-98d9-09d15dd4e225&pf_rd_r=7H8A3584QRGM27JJFTNM&pd_rd_r=421ad561-8509-40ba-a05b-1767985b0d15&pd_rd_wg=NzCcI&pd_rd_i=B00NQKSL2A

I was thinking of trying dry ice with a 60/20 of dowfrost and water and pump it through my jackets… Your thoughts?

Yes there’s already a post on it
Someone was asking today and I said “ I bet there’s a thread on future” so I typed in antifreeze and got the answer
You want it to be a 50/50 mix I think
And if you’re using dry ice it will turn into a yellow goop that the pump won’t push if it’s not diluted properly(and still gotta chill the outside of the container holding the liquid and pump

Did you read the specs?

Solutions in water provide freeze protection to below -50C (-60F) and burst protection to below -73C (-100F). Recommended use temperature range: -45C (-50F) to 160C

What temp does it offer burst protection to?

What temp does CO2 sublime?

What state will your glycol/water mix be at that temp?

Hint: what causes the “burst” you loose protection for at -73C?

Give you 3 guesses if he did or not and the first 2 don’t count

Didn’t search, didn’t read. Yep. That’s a winning combo for sure.

Okay, I definitely need to rethink a few things.
Thank you.

I was told a few things by a couple of people and I did search about mixtures. Searched the engeering toolbox.

I was specifically asking about that stuff but I didn’t even think about reading the MSDS to give me a better view. I 6/10 times forget those even exist.
