To add to this, the number 1 source of contaminants in a lab are the people who work there.
I would highly suggest taking the time to really nail down good sanitary procedures for yourself and your workers because it only costs your time and you will get an immense amount of benefit from it.
I’ll edit in some suggested procedures that I use in our innoculation lab later because right now I’ve gotta get back to work.
I’m thinking about making a cleanroom also, for under $500. Thoughts on using a 8’x8’x7’ grow tent Vivosun on AMZ ($306) with 4" variable 190cfm fan and carbon filter ($108) + 2-4’ LED lamps ($60). This would be installed in a AC’d flex space (warehouse). Hairnet, clean scrubs, masks and booties required to enter.
