Distillate can be make from any old crap (see dish-dillate)…ever hear it referred to as “hot dog water”?
Decent BHO can simply be decarbed under appropriate conditions and carted.
For higher potency, and “fruity flavors”, lesser quality BHO can be spun then decarbed.
