Cls help for frog eater

Compression fittings are an art and a science.

It isn’t he cold in the freezer. It is the solenoid that will spark when it flips the compressor on. Those parts are under the freezer and your gas is heavier than air.

This is dangerous in the space where you are working. The solvent will pool around your feet and find ignition sources in appliances like freezers, refrigerators, hot water heater, HVAC etc. You need to watch light switches, outlets, power strips. The average garage is just full of ignition devices.

Butane is heavier than air. By the time you would smell it, it would be up to your nose and you would be standing in a bomb.

Also, the gas is odorless and you are actively removing the contaminants that make it smell. Your nose is not an indicator or a significant leak.

You got that backwards. You should first vacuum the tank and only afterwards cool it down. You do it in this order to avoid humidity from the air condensing/freezing into ice when you freeze your tank.

thank you very much I understand it. I thought that vacuuming once cold would help me have more vacuum. I hadn’t thought about air and humidity. thank you for your advice. I remember vacuuming and then cooling. then I vacuumed again once cold

Actually even that thought is wrong. If you vacuum first and then freeze it you will achieve deeper vacuum.

Theres a lot of red flags :triangular_flag_on_post: in this thread. I see a lot of members have guided you in the right direction… and to be honest, many of us started worse.

Please carefully consider a couple points before you start making extracts. I mean this with the upmost respect and don’t want to insult you in any way.

  1. Your extractor is sub-par and dangerous. The likelihood of equipment failure, such as seals giving way, failed valves, gauges, etc. is effectively 100%.

  2. You do not have a lot of experience or background working with pressurized gasses, vacuums, or botanical extraction.

  3. You’ve invested personally into this project and are committed to trying despite the risk and lack of knowledge.

That being said, do this outside! Leave 5m clearing in all directions to prevent fire spreading. Purchase multiple fire-blankets, and good fire-resistant or fire-proof PPE. Its not that expensive, and will save you a fortune when she blows.

thank you very much for this advice which I will follow!

great find. yep thats the one.

i can not emphasize this enough. a lot of people here laughed at me when i said i only run my CLS outside. There is nothing perfect with these extractors. Especially cheap ones. You dont wanna have a leak inside, not in a C1D1.

Ive had a lot of leaks materialize to nothing because i never kept a phone near me outside. All my pump runs where so far from an extractor that i didnt worry. I had no electricity even 50ft from me…

Please be safe.

Putain… you’re actually planning on running a CLS inside your house where KIDS live. I hope they’re not as stupid as you come off here, because if they don’t die in the fire along with you they’re going to be on their own pretty soon.

Dude you’re suffering from some sort of a Napoleonic complex. Seems like close to always when you comment on someone asking for advice you have to do so in a degrading way. Why is it you feel you have to humiliate someone one that ask for advice? He obviously doesn’t know as much as you do but he is trying to learn and he is going about it the right way asking for advice from people who are supposed to be professionals. What is it in your life that makes you feel so tiny and insignificant that you overcompensate for by humiliating other people?

Come on dude you obviously not a complete idiot, you should know how to do better than what you’re doing now.

only during holidays. I’m not crazy anymore and I plan to work outside

Looking at how other folks have done this (both right and wrong) is often informative Let's see your set up!

at least have the decency of not showing your daughters room for fucks sake

Is this your best retort for being an asshole?

Seems like some people here give you credit for having chemistry knowledge so I would imagine you’re not a complete fucking moron, which means you should recognize that you’re being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole and for no other reason.

I don’t even have a room of my own. I have a room for them and everything and clean it when they are there. the columns are empty I do not work with it is a preparation

I bought this extractor from a friend who used it as it was at the beginning of the West for several years. I didn’t realize it. I try to do the best I can with my budget and my space.
