Chlorophyll crude

Hello friend. I have doubts about this procedure. I have 150ml of RSO fully winterized. What proportions of methanol / heptane do I have to use, and how long does it take to make the separation? I tried mixing it in half a liter of both and I don’t see any separation

Buddy your methanol later is dark af- use a UV flashlight to see the layers

Hello Rowan. Can you be more specific? The proportions of solvents its right? I have a very dark color in one layer

It’s not one layer.

It’s just so dark you can’t see the difference

Use a UV bulb to see the layers

Thank you for your prompt reply friend. Unfortunately it is so black that not even with a UV light I can see the layers. And I am somewhat confused about it. I thought there would be a division too clear where all the chlorophyll would be in one layer. But then. In a technical way. In one layer there are cannabinoids and in the other only chlorophyll? Still looking generally as black

Thanks. Rowan. But I dont know if this is working. I have to use so much more heptane or Metanol? Thanks

Where are you located?

Guadalajara, México.
Thanks Rowan

I use hardwood activated carbon mixed w/ solute on the magnetic stirrer, like @MagisterChemist said. Then I like to filter through bentonite clay (sand/clay/sand) in a column to remove the carbon. Repeat. It gets a lot of green out. The solute coming through the filter looks almost clear.
