Hold please!
Getting those now…
Here is our Full spectrum distillate we use for our tinctures (current lot);

And our “Broad spec”

@PharmexOregon… yes, testing requirements for Oregon. But some folks in other states are interested in full testing suite CoA to provide on their website.
Then maybe test a bigger batch so that each liter doesn’t have an extra $600 tacked on? Or do it upon request? Idk just thinking out loud.
You hit the nail on the head! That’s our challenge… still relatively small player. We do mention that the order includes this testing on our site… may need to give options to your point. Maybe they only need potency if we’ve tested others already. Thanks for input!
That does not read as full spec to me.
Should have 10x as much thc…
Even with a phenomenal 100:1 split in the plant 80% CBD should have almost 1% thc. At 20:1 split is more the norm.
We only offer 0.3% THC max to avoid any legal ramifications (both input material and output).
Dilution is almost always the solution, in this regard.
Edit: And I also have a really hard time with calling any distillate full spectrum. Just my personal issue with the nomenclature frequently being misused or misrepresented.
Again, this is a 20% (diluted distillate) tincture we are offering. To have a 1% THC tincture, input material would be 20%. Not sure I understand what you are mentioning @cyclopath?
Flowers come at 20:1 CBD to thc. Phenomenal ones at 100:1.
So “full spec” distillate will ALWAYS be hot until diluted.
@Akoyeh and Cyclopath… yes I agree, Full spec is being loosely used in the industry. We try and conform to industry standards (incorrect or correct) to try and continue the industry education and discussion. We agree “Full Spectrum” is really not a good term for legally compliant distillate after distillation/remediation/clean up, etc. It comes down to a happy medium of working with early players in the industry and veterans and working out the proper terminology.
Thank you for that. I do believe, though, that it is our responsibility to educate clients and consumers concerning proper nomenclature. When we continue to incorrectly use the terminology, despite knowing better, we only perpetuate the problem.
If you agree that it is not a good term to use, why use it?
To answer your question… since much of the industry is still learning, we lose opportunities to other companies claiming full spec… so short answer, is so we can remain in business since many folks will just pass over us if we don’t offer “Full Spec”. Case in point,
I just recently saw a full spec dist (wholesale) online with literally 2 minor cannabinoids at 1% combined and ND THC.
First conversation with any of our clients is our CoA… so we don’t hide the contents.
We also discuss some of this during these conversations… another example is “T-Free”… we’ve steered clear of that term for the more appropriate Non Detect. All these are regular conversations we have with folks reaching out to us.
Really look forward to everyone being on same page with terms… and we are trying to do our part for sure.
Going back to the thread at hand… you’ll note we didn’t claim full or broad spec tincture ![]()
Anyone interested in starting a thread/forum for terminology best practices? Sure it would lead to broader discussions for industry best practices.
I’m willing to starting, but knowing I have assistance would be appreciated and welcome
I think a thread discussing terminology would be a great thing to have. After reading here for quite a while, it feels like most of us are on the same page regarding terminology, but there are always new people coming here to learn and share. Those people would benefit quite a bit if they are able to get a good rundown of the commonly accepted terminology.
Take “distillation” as an example. Common use here refers to molecular distillation of crude into distillate. I’ve seen many new users using the term to describe what’s commonly referred to here as “reclamation”.
I’ll start something here on 4200 soon!
Anyone aware of anything already started on this topic, please share so we can add to existing collaboration.
Cheers,
~Steve
So it’s 200 grams of t free disti in a liter of mct?
I gotchu guys all day at 500$ per liter at 20%
Want 40%? 650$
Want 60%? Probably gonna crash out but 850$
You can’t push a 450$ test off on people for 1 liter. You should be making 20-50 liters minimum at a time. Otherwise you just Arnt gonna make it.
Fair enough Siosis… seems you may have hijacked my post with a better offer, but guess that is fair game here?
That said, you can see our feedback on other sales posts here on 4200 and you’ll see we offer exceptional customer service, product, support, packaging, online (secure) credit card ordering, expedited shipping for free, etc. Sometimes paying a premium is worth it if you like or need those extra services.
Seems some have taken offense at this price point. We are just trying to offer great product with great service while paying good wages. We may be holding the retailers to the fire here, but as shown earlier in this thread… the retail ROI at this wholesale price point for a 6000 mg/30 ml tincture is far bigger than ours.
As stated earlier (and also shown in our website)… full transparency. Any order comes with a custom CoA to their product (most comprehensive I’ve seen on any retail site). There is a value in that? If they want us to mix just1 liter… it’s going to be more expensive. If they want bulk orders… we work with them and that’s stated in our site.
