C1D1 Room / Building HVAC

Hi All,

I’m running through preliminary designs and it is apparent that an appropriately ventilated process area (C1D1) will displace so much air in that there is essentially no way to condition it.

I was thinking about conditioning our warehouse air, and dampening that into the C1D1 room along with outside supply air to ensure that the inlet air is a decently cold temperature.

Has anyone successfully built a C1D1 room that keeps well conditioned air in a SUPER hot state (OK)?

The C1D1 space has two stages of “venting”. The first stage is constant without any high levels of of Butane, Propane ect detected. The second stage is an evacuation vent where the system detects a leak and changes out the air in the room in short order.

Is using heat recovery ventilators an option?

This says it is C1D1

That’s basically what we are going to be doing in our facility I think. We’re not in a super hot state, but it does sit in the mid to high 30’s for most of the summer (high 90’s to mid 100’s in freedom units).
