I’ve never seen any tri clamp fitting require 60ft lb of torque. Sight glass or not.
Maybe I’m mistaken here, but unless you can offer up some evidence, I stand by my statement that you’re tighten things too much.

thats what i was thinking prior to looking up the facts. dont use incompatible solvents, and also If the plastic suddenly got blasted with cold solvent thats why they broke. I got a bvv vac chamber lid and its glass but they dont even offer that anymore- mustve been an issue at some point.
my lids have screw on sights that are polycarbonate but they dont leak out the sight glasses.
did you see cake boss/ he was so rich he has his own bowling alley and jacked his hand up fetching a pin out the machinery.
I knew some kids so rich when you walked in the house it was a railing like a mall with glass walls and went 3 stories deep to a basketball court with a whole viewing deck from above? I gues the dad thought he wanted nba stars. They did ok at hacking the sack till they got caught dealing coke. They went by the names dj MILK and COOKIES WHAT chads. funny thing is they were that WAY before any weed was called rhat. it was like 2006 I had the DANK mikado at the time.
What’s the specs on them? Type of glass? I have never seen these before.
So it’s got a base or is it like a spool? hard to tell

What kind of pressures can they hold? I would think that this would be a good alternative to using a regular sight glass like I have seen alot of people doing for miners. But how about cold crashing, and temp swings, can they handle it?
Idk but if you guys wanna try em here’s where I found them

Yeah, dont use clamp glasses with pressure vessels.
not a fan of acrylic, plus it still will make shrapnel… stuff shatters like glass.

you ever use metaglas or rayotek? I would bet my life on them, literally.
Have not. They’re rated?
with a 2" sightglass your weakest point is the high pressure triclamp, which should give you 800 psi at 250*f . The glass will withstand much more pressure than the t/c can withstand, the glass will take an impressive amount of damage to boot.
I aint walking on the glass floor at sears tower. fuck that. I prolly did the same in vegas though. vegas has some glass floor scare ride I did i think? good vacation if you forget things. During a run I dont need a siteglass, I got a tank and a system that can hold the tank. And then I watch guages. I use it on recovery.
