BR Spinning band Vs FFE

So correct me If i am wrong
Say i do a first run cls with R134 and then a second run going to a difrent collection pot of butane i pull thca with a lot less crap since most of the crap went with the R134 ? Interesting not handy but intersting

we are here in san diego and supply equipment and consulting. we have high speed ethanol recovery units and various techniques to improve processing and overall yields

Hey, how clean dose starting material need to be on the spinning band? We run basically unwinteruzed crude right now in our SPD. Just wondering what the spinning band can do for crude

Depends on your target. Also consider that more work on the front end (extraction, filtration) will always save time on the back end.

I really do recommend winterization. I have worked with hemp seed oil and other “fatty” components of the plant. Separating them by distillation, if possible, is not really efficient.

The fats and waxes that end up co-distilling will worsen the clarity of your oil. Even if the appearance of the oil doesn’t matter, the shelf life of some products could be shortened by the presence of those compounds. In the end, it all depends on what you want to do with the product.

Does spinning band remove fats and waxes as well as winterization+filtration? No. Can you distill unwinterized material? Yes. Potency and other aspects may vary though.
