Best oil viscosity for carts

CBD disty typically requires smaller holes as it’s usually runnier. Does the CBD crash out?

May I just say I just finished with carts with a 1.5mm inlet. It was the SPRK carts - other forum members remember me complaining about them. So let me just say that a thick shatter will not work in the thing. It has to be super watery for that cart.

Get better carts for thicker shit. That way you can have your uncut 90+ with naturally derived cannabis terpenes rather than a 50+ with Botanical Terpenes or some PEG junk shit.

raw in a 1.2mm works without issue? :exploding_head:

I have made tonnes of these but not disty - shatter decarbed with terps. And not a fucking chance they work with the 1.5mm easily. They will EVENTUALLY wick. After 2 hits you are waiting for oil to populate the element again but it never bubbles. 24 hours and no bubble.

Annoying.

probably you can try our full glass cartridges, which comes with no cotton design, thus the oil can be absorbed to the coil dirrectly,it fit for thick oil

I have tried many many carts with just raw distillate. I only use raw in my personal carts. With the occasional cannabis terps.

Ya I have too but they actually full on work for you? Like, no need to prime for 10 minutes or heat the cart before hitting?

Yes I dont preheat anything.

I have some sour space candy syrup made from fresh frozen material that would do well in thinning out cartridges.

Personally I can’t get my shatter to decarb properly and flow. There are carts that will work - I’m surprised my gCell even hits but it too requires a bit of heating. I noticed the hit you take sends some heat through the thing as well which does help.

All in all I am thinking of going back to very tiny amounts of diluent and letting that be that. At leas that way, I can have more THCa in there because I have this superstitious belief that it gets me higher. Definitely tastes better…

I don’t blame the hardware I wholeheartedly blame the product. I think starting there with scrutiny should come first, hardware scrutiny second.

Like using it as some sort of emulsifier?

You mentioned that hitting the cartridge conducts heat and helps flow

Metal ccells conduct heat a lot faster than ceramics. Which can be good and bad, different uses. For something thick it can definitely help flow as the cartridge is in use.

Well be that as it may, it is becoming increasingly clear that for a shatter cart at least, some cut might be a good idea. Using Cannabis derived Terpenes is not a good option because if you over-do it, the cart tastes way too strong and feels like shit to smoke.

If you go too high with any terpenes it’s gonna start to taste like shit.

You want to find how to get your material in the cartridge without cutting, as much as possible

Cut with other cannabinoids

Have you tried the incredible hulk or iCell Plus? The hulk can be used heavily, and the iCell plus is for terpless shatter consistencies!!

They can’t in their area, they’re international

I can see things like Live Resin or Diamonds and Sauce making their way into carts without hardening up. But I have done run after run of shatter, I’ve heated until the bubbles stop (assuming decarb is complete) and I just cannot get it to go sappy. Clearly it’s my method.

I don’t want to cut. But the cut carts always vaped super well  hjaha

QMA your iCell is up next. I tried two gCells I really liked them.

What do you mean cut with other cannabinoids? I assumed that’s what Terpene mixing is.

Other cannabinoids as in any other extract that is thinner or decarbed (t distillate works)

Is your decarbed oil nice and clear? Sounds like your material just isn’t perfect for the use

Please explain what you mean by “unflavored hemp based terpenes.”

If you mean flavorless terpenes “derived from hemp” then it is not derived from hemp.

Don’t really understand what you just said so if it’s derived from hemp than it’s not derived from hemp @stoopkid ???

You said you are using flavorless hemp based terpenes. I was asking what you mean by that
