12l boiling flask in 10l mantle?

I’ve read you can fit a 22l boiling flask in a 20l heating mantle and wondering if the same is true for a 12l boiling flask in a 10l mantle.

I already have a 10l mantle and was planning on getting some glass from Rocco only to find out they don’t offer 10l boiling flasks.

I would imagine most would advise using sand to fill in the space. But that may be a mighty big size difference. I know sand can be used when you have a small space in between the Mantle and flask

Idk man our 10L flask is so snug in the mantle that its hard to remove at times

I’m trying to figure out if a 12l boiling flask will fit in a 10l mantle, not the other way around.

I asked Rocco on IG and they said it should work but I’m still unsure.

From everything thing ive seen it will fit. Glas col are the only mantles ive seen that are about the exact size

20 and 22 is overall half in to three quarters of a inch larger. It’s marginal. Usually around 1/4" or so more on each side. The same goes for 10/12 liter flasks.

Never put sand in a mantle. Very dangerous and bad.

Either or it’s fine dude. No real difference. We sold both at the same time and they both fit.
