isn’t the head sealed ? Im sorry I’ve never held a head in my hands, unless its my girls and she’s on her knees… hehe just kidding 
but its funny cause its true…
You pack the inside of the head with something that increases surface area. I’d not recommend a Brillo pad, but they have glass distillation packing that should work.

I can show you a picture of and OWL hunting on the snow and leaving his wing marks printed on the snow, all you gotta do is show me a picture of what you mean
