I was filtering my crude that I winterized and I was fucking around using a water aspirator don’t ask me why. I turned the water pump off and ofc water back flowed into my erlenmeyer flask and instantly it separated, into a silky white layer (middle), a brownish layer (top), and a black oil layer (bottom). The amount of water to methanol was half and half. I separated the layers and the black oil smells kinda bad. The methanol and white layer just smell like methanol for the most part. So what ended up happening?

haha I’m just trying to figure out what dropped out of solution since the oil had been already winterized.

Most probably all dark layers have cananbinoids and the water layer has terps and unwanted compounds

figured wafting it over to me once can’t do much but yea prob shouldn’t have.
It’s a cumulative toxin so a little here and there goes a long way
