I want to use this pump as a source of vacuum for a wood drying kiln. Id like to crack this thing open but I’m afraid I’ll fuck something up if I don’t have the owner/service manual. But I’m having trouble finding a manual for this pump.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Not specifically for the 1389 but here’s a manual, they should be pretty damn similar. There’s really not much in a vacuum pump to get fucked up if you disassemble it to clean it out.

I figured the 1397 ought to be pretty similar but the 1398 are vastly different.

just take pictures as you disassemble; keep a dissassembly log if you must!
