I have a restaurant sized stainless trash compactor. I’m wondering if it could be used in lieu of a centrifuge to get the ethanol out for processing in a rotovap or spd. I was thinking of using the press in a controlled environment to catch the ethanol and was wondering if this would be a way to skip the centrifuge. Any input is appreciated.
it won’t work as well as a panda, but it might be faster.
it will likely require more cleanup.
@VincentCorp1931 has plenty of customers that use presses.

Thank you very much I will read a little bit more up on using it. I just have to figure out how I will collect the ethanol, whether I use a container or modify the bottom to be able to channel the ethanol somewhere.
What kind of motor does this use? Best to use something thats not generating sparks.

I will look into it…i think i can keep the motor separate from the actual area where the pressing will be done. The cylinder is quite long and and motor is on top. I think they manufacture these with the thought of possible flammable items being pressed however. Thank you for the input.

You should be able to source an explosion proof motor?
