Storage vessel pressure has dropped, how do I get it back?

Could be water saturated solvent freezing Are you running a dryer?

Sounds like you have a clog in your system . A full break down and cleaning should send you in the right direction . Distill all your solvent in your tank through fresh desiccant to remove any water potentially freezing and clogging a line . Use the process of elimination and isolate each part of your system till you find a clog . If there is no clog i would go with moisture in solvent

Hook up your solvent tank to your closed loop like you normally would. Pull a vacuum on system, add nitrogen in the collection vessel with recovery pump on and recovery line open, just add about 50-60 psi N2 . The nitrogen should go into your solvent tank, when you notice the pressure increases, open liquid line to your material column and see if that works.

Note: make sure solvent tank is. Vacuumed down too. And don’t add source material do it a dry run. You can also Nitro flush your system before you start your run to remove any oxygen in the injection lines. Hope that helps.

But yeah bro definitely get a sieve if you don’t have one.

Sounds like your liquid line is clogged. Usually pressurized gas just comes OUT it doesn’t tend to fluctuate like that when you have a direct, singular path.

Sounds to me like the top of the dip tube has a crack in the weld. The vapor pressure in the tank keeps coming out because there’s a broken weld at the top of the dip tube, there’s no other way for that to happen. can you empty the tank while on its side, then disassemble the manifold at the top and check everything?

ill add the likeleyhood that his tanks is full of air. air compresses and the gas wont have pressure. i m prolly wrong but throwing it out there.

I have a sieve to dry the gas, its after the oil trap, which is connected off the honey pot the sieve runs into my pump and then pump to coil to tank. hope that helps.

Yes, I have a sieve in the mix for drying gas.

This is where I am heading today, I can definitely vacate the tank and quickly that way as when its on its side, the gas blows out the port like a rocket.
