Pre-Processing Fresh Frozen (Commercial Extraction)

Running a commercial volatile (butane) extraction operation that processes mostly fresh frozen into BHO products. Currently smashing fresh frozen prior to putting biomass into filtration socks and into the Bhogart extraction equipment.

Looking for industry best practices for pre-processing fresh frozen. We have looked into a low RPM “delumping” machine that breaks each piece of fresh frozen into 1/4" chunks.

Has anyone used a grinder, or cutter?

What are the optimum sizes for each piece of fresh frozen?

Thanks.

FF is harder to soak ergo you’ll need to create a large surface area by pretty much grinding it up or 1/4 “ biggest. I suggest a mixer grinder in cryo freezer.

Thanks for the suggestion. Looking at a LEM #32 food-grade meat mixer/grinder that pushes/cuts it down to 1/4" or 3/8" pieces.

Either that or produce your own with a cement mixer mod

Garbage can and a mixer on a drill works great.
