Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

Department: Sales / Customer Service

SUMMARY: Vessel Depot is offering the opportunity for the right person to join an exciting startup selling and designing cannabis and hemp Processing Equipment! Be part of the new wave in facility design, optimization, Machine learning, Equipment Systems for THC and CBD Extraction, Hemp Processing state of the Art developments and more. Outside Sales Representative supports and implements an overall B2B sales strategy and Customer CRM expansion for Vessel Depot. Assesses and recommend primary customer leads and assists with initiation of sales activities to obtain and meet sales plans and forecasts. Must have in depth and hands-on experience with extraction methods, distillation, CRC and ancillary equipment. Already understanding how to size chillers and heaters is a plus.

SCOPE: Nationwide (SF Bay Area, West Coast)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Varies – Approved Travel Expenses Reimbursed

RESPONSIBILITIES - Being able to meet the following responsibilities are essential duties of the position:

  • Resourceful and able to work, mostly, autonomously
  • Suggest potentially competitive pricing strategies and assist in producing sales proposals
  • Analyze customer CRM entries and track sales/contact tracking data
  • Support strategic planning for business development opportunities
  • Make and/or set up sales calls, customer visits with the ability to travel frequently
  • Maintain a CRM database of customer contacts and communications
  • Investigate new markets and Sales leads for company products and services
  • Initiate contact with prospective customers via phone, email, personal visit or mail
  • Coordinate with other Vessel Depot Departments to meet customer requirements

COMPETENCIES / EXPERIENCE / PROFICIENCIES / PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Being able to meet the following competencies, experience, proficiencies, and physical demands are essential functions of the position:

  • Articulate and Technically Savvy with the ability to open relationships with individuals and companies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • Deep Experience in Extraction methods, distillation, CRC and ancillary equipment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience with Cold Calling, Sales Nurturing and a variety of sales strategies and activities
  • An in-depth knowledge of Vessel Depot’s target customers, products and markets,
  • Able to become familiar Cannabis and Hemp related Business terms and regulations for THC and CBD.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as from time-to-time assigned by Vessel Depot
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or secondary education. Demonstrated experience, competency, and ability in sales may be substituted in lieu of the educational requirement. Must have experience in extraction and cannabis industry. References must be verifiable from within industry.
  • Computer and Technical Skills: Independent Sales Representative has a computer or personal device to accomplish the responsibilities of the position.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to converse with customers, supervisors and other sales representatives and be able to do onsite visits…
