N Boler Sintered Disks CREATE SPARK!!!!

Damn bro.

I think what we all really want to see pics of is the $3500/month beach crib.

You got the infinity edge pool on the roof?

I’m not posting pictures of my home. I don’t need to brag, but I won’t stand by and be called broke boy by an actual peasant. I’ve worked hard to get where I’m at, grow up bro. Contribute to the thread or don’t post.

Heyy easy big dog.

It was just a little joke to try to lighten things up a bit. This is the internet after all. I don’t really want to see pics of your home.

It’s a direct quote from you, made in this very thread, so it’s a type of contribution. Maybe not showering you with affirmation and raised pitchfork like you would like.

No worries though, I’m with you. I believe the filter was likely defective and it could possibly have sparked. They should have just taken it back and kept their mouth shut.

By the way, it is honestly interesting to me that you are paying that high of a mortgage at 25 and chose to include that detail here in this conversation.

I’m curious what kind of damage could be done to the company after their product results in an explosion and death from a manufacturer defect.

Nah, but you’re right. Keep on keepin on. Simple fact of the matter is this guys customer service is absolute garbage. If there was any possibility my product could harm someone from a defect I will 100% make sure I get to the bottom of it because I actually care about people. Clearly this company’s head is too far up their ass. I’m glad someone came here to inform us about this. I certainly don’t want to ever deal with a company with this bad of customer service.

Honestly the defect is one thing (and bad) but the lying afterwards is even more egregious in my opinion. Even the defense being put up in this thread doesn’t really acknowledge that.

CannaChemistry: ā€œany product 316 stainless product, when a great amount of friction is created, can create spark.ā€

Meanwhile N Boler on Insta: ā€œno sparks can come from 316ssā€

So come on either he knows nothing at all or is lying. And we know from the emails presented that it’s the later. By claiming 316 cannot spark, he’s misleading potential buyers with a false sense of safety. This is a potentially fatal negligence whether or not user error caused this instance.

A real businessman! Commendable.

It’s really not a good look as it has been brought to his attention. God forbid anyone gets hurt because of an explosion and they find one of Nbolers filters in the rig it will be the cause. His cheerleader said he sold 800 of them, so those are potential accidents. He will probably be held liable but I’m sure a company doing 1m+ a year has great liability insurance for this.

Has anyone else experienced the sparking? Were you able to repeat the spark over and over?

The whole issue of the spark is hearsay so far.

Hearsay means information received from other people that cannot be substantiated. In other words, rumor.

And before you all trip out, no, that does not mean I think ScoopD is lying. It also doesn’t mean that I’m defending the manufacturer. It means that I can’t be sure one way or the other, no matter how much I want to believe one side. Neither can you.

Have you all ever read anything about the reliability of eye witness testimony?

Without concrete proof that the filters spark, the title of this thread is misleading and borderline libel, IMO.

Scoop, I get it that you’re mad and people in here are worked up. The only provable thing so far is that you got a defective part and they are not giving you your money back.

This forum is great for flushing out all the bad manufacturers and product pushers in this industry, but we need to be careful of the victim mentality that is so pervasive in our culture today.

I don’t want to see us raising the pitchforks for things that aren’t proven.

When I cut 316 with a 4" grinder theres a shit load of sparks. Also, u cant use a grinder, sander or other blade that has touched carbon steel and then work SS steel. It contaminates the edge and destroyes the SS properties. Maybe this could of contributed to it sparking. Just a thought.

No I’m with you too. I don’t even care about the sparking. At this point it’s more about how nb, a fabricator in our industry handled the situation. He could have simply come on and said sorry guys, I’m figuring it out and sending a new plate to the guy. Easy as that. But he’s hiding and shit posting him on IG instead. Future cats don’t play around like that… people should know this by now. Do anything remotely shady and you’re getting called out.

Fair point about the sparking, but a warped disc, lying, and avoiding the forum makes that moot to be honest.

The piece is advertised as being able to withstand 350psi, and if I’m reading correctly, it was WARPED in the first place, it should have been refunded, no questions asked. If that hurts his bottom line too much:

  1. He can’t keep his businesses finances in check and
  2. He’s really fucking bad at setting prices, you factor in this kind of things into your price BEFORE you start selling.

@N.B.OLER is a fucking joke, regardless of sparks or not.

I haven’t read through this whole thread but I think the moral of the story is order from the homie @Killa12345.

These companies that have IG clout and aggressive marketing let that shit get to their heads, and when they reach a certain customer threshold, we start to see shoddy business practices and spineless behavior.

Though I Have yet to order anything from Killa, I can already tell from the admiration of the community that Killa has a backbone made of steel… some high quality, ethically sourced staineless steel

Seems like @n.b.oler is in the steal business.

I’ve only ordered a couple of items from his site, but each time, the price was fair, and the item came fast.

I’ll talk him up all day long though, good people need propped up. It’s just as important to point out a good supplier as it is to caution against the bad ones.

Send @Killa12345 a DM before he sells out.

I had a similar incident w a bizzy bee sintered disc but I didn’t see a spark. The crc just broke in half (at a bracket) w a pop and media went flying everywhere. I figured it was a combo of tightening the bolts too much, the crcs weight and having too high of a difference in pressure (40 on the material side and negative 20 on the collection side). I was trying to force the leftover gas out after a run. But now after reading this I’m wondering if it was a spark from the disc.
