Moving up to 3 inch. Little Guy

Hey Team
I’m a small guy running a 6x12 collection. Passive with N2 bump. My runs have all been personal small and the 1.5 inch spools have worked well. I know I can fit 6 lbs if Tane safely. Now that I am getting more product to run, I would rather go to 3 inch spools vs a 8 ft tall 1.5 spooled monster. Will I loose any efficiencies going up to 3 inch. Any other concerns. I won’t run more than .5 lb at a time
Thank You!

A 3”x24” spool will work just fine

Hahah. Awesome tip. I think a 3x12 may suit my needs perfectly. The 24 inch would very rarely get filled at this point in my runs.

Yeah, 3x24 will hold about 1.25lbs

I think with running .5 lbs I can still get a 10:1 ratio which is about where I like to be. I dream of running 1.+ LBS at a time. :grinning:

If you stuff the crap out of it or grind your material… I’ve never been able to get a lb of material in a my 3×24 without doing one or the other. However it is a lot nicer being able to run most of a lb.

Sorry I just saw how old this is.
