Mist eliminator filters?

Has anyone found an appropriate alternate for the oil mist eliminator filter elements on the AI SuperVacs?

Compared to the Edwards I think they are crap and a pain in the ass to change out! They look like they were manufactured in the 1950’s or military surplus!

I use the elcheapo orange kf25 found on @bay. I spd in my basement, zero smell at all. 3x 6hr runs on one of them.

Is that with your ballast open or closed?

I have the same mist eliminator and if I have the gas ballast plugged in on the 2021i mist still leaks right past it.

we just have kf to nipple fittings on ours and vent to outside

Can you run 2 filters stacked on each other?

I suspect the Edwards mist eliminator would be superior, I’m looking for a (non-oem) source on the filter element that goes inside the AI mist eliminator.

…because I simply don’t believe it was purpose built
