Anyone know any financial institutions in CA that are opening new accounts?

Know of a couple people talking about starting a private bank for this. As of yet, no.
They are trying to start local banks as well, at the city level. Also, not as of yet.
Most people use local credit unions that are “ok” with it. However these credit unions are taking a big risk with feds.
You’re almost better off opening an account at a major bank and tell them you have a consulting business. The problem is, if you have a web presence, they can easily find out what you are really doing. Luckily, if they discover your a legal cannabis operation, they will write you a cashiers check for your balance, which you can just go open another account with.
NOTE: VERY IMPORTANT!!! DO NOT OPEN A BUSINESS ACCOUNT AT THE BANK YOU HAVE YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT AT. IF THEY FIND OUT, THEY WILL DO THE SAME TO YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT!

Currently having that problem myself. In a non-rec state like NM, it’s proving to be very challenging now that the go-to bank for the industry stopped allowing hemp accounts as of August of last year.
