Making skid frames

Looking for input from my fellow DIY guys on your preferred materials for building skid frames. I just finished a FFE body and want to strap her into something more solid than I’ve been using.

The standard is stainless steel square tube.

Check out novasep for some ideas. Keep in mind washdown requirements and that will guide your path.

well, if welding is not an option,
T-slot aluminum “rails” have served me well when needing a quick frame for prototypes and smaller/shorter “skids”, I dont think its technically forward compatible with GMP, but could be wrong. Its kinda like adult legos. Theres also those “quick-rail” connectors like the glass VTA frames are/were made of. Both can be found on mcmaster-carr/Grainger.
