Viacom is US Owned, Paramount is US Owned and National Amusements is US Owned. None of their stocks are on the China[/CCP] stock market.
Nickelodeon is US Owned. None of the shows are [directly] owned by China. It actually under represents the Asian culture. It’s more accustomed to working with Canada or the UK.
It’s very funny now that I think of it when I used to watch the Disney channel as a kid and young adult it was apparent how low the minority groups are on shows and it seems like until very recently there was only minorities used for tokenism. That’s So Raven was a good example. The Brothers García was another tokenized show for the Spanish community though that one was Nickelodeon not Disney. Cartoon Network did it too.
I think it’s really fucked up how easy it is to dismiss tokenism as multiculturalism. It’s also equally fucked up that there’s people who’s job it is to do that.
