I’m looking for some advice or shared experiences from those who’ve tried something similar.
What binders or carriers (if any) have you used to get a consistent, stable mix?
Is a binder even necessary, or does the distillate alone work well as a medium for the kief?
From an equipment perspective — would you recommend using a vacuum mixer, a homogenizer, or perhaps even an ultrasonic homogenizer for this kind of task?
Has anyone noticed significant differences in results between these mixing methods?
Any feedback, tips, or even mistakes to avoid would be extremely appreciated.

Forgot to mention – the final mix (CBG kief to Delta 9 distillate in a 3:1 ratio) is intended to be pressed into hash, so consistency and pressability are key factors.
I can’t say I’ve personally used any binding agents on formulations intended for smokable products, someone else might have experience there, but the distillate should act as a binder just fine. Are you planning on making kilos and kilos of this product? Because as long as you work quickly you should just be able to stir the kief into the warmed distillate with a dab tool or spatula with the help of a heat gun. To automate I would just use a stand mixer with a heat gun on a lab stand nearby to gently heat the bowl, but I tend towards kitchen appliances for budget tech. Have you tried any small scale experiments?
Right now my goal is to perfect the technique, so I’m gathering as much info as I can — from friends, forums, and wherever possible. Everything else is pretty much ready, just need to decide on the right mixing setup.
Have you not already tried this then? I would suggest posting what your results are from what you have tried already, and then let us know why the final product was not working (too loose, not malleable enough, etc…).
No, I haven’t tried it yet. The equipment and ingredients are quite expensive, and on top of that, I’ll need to move to a country with more liberal laws before I can properly experiment. All of this costs money, and my budget is limited at the moment. That’s why I’m trying to prepare as thoroughly as possible to avoid critical mistakes. I’ll definitely share my results once I get the chance to test everything
I have little experience working with pressing hash but I would imagine you want intact trichomes so the ultrasonic and homogenizer would probably be a little too aggressive. A vacuum mixer, stand mixer or even hand mixing would probably be better places to start. I would also guess that you’d want the distillate pretty hot before you add it so it can flow better and evenly coat the trichomes.
40c should be enough to keep the distillate fluid. I also had the impression that ultrasonic or homogenizers might be too aggressive, but I wanted to ask anyway. My main concern is achieving a well-balanced mix, this is why mixing part is one of the most important
