Does anyone here really use acetic acid to crystallize? I’ve never heard of this before and it reeks of bad science

bad science for days…
looks like someone with a degree trying to quantify reality. (still I would assume with a degree “supersaturation” along with a few other keyword would be present…) 
maybe a marketing degree?
