Can anyone tell me why my isolate dries yellow?
Oxidation perhaps?

I’d imagine it’s not 100% washed, that’s how it generally looks before my final wash.

It’s was only on the outside. Apparently when the pentane evaporates and travels through the crystals it pulls the THC out and leaves it on the surface. Hopefully it’s <0.3%. Something also strange I observed were red precipitation on the surface. It looked like the CBD was in a 90’s Gatorade advertisement

thats rather interesting. Not doubting you but do you have any information as to why this occurs?
I have seen the same thing happen when it was not fully washed. the solvent comes to the top as it gets purged
Yeah that’s basically distillate that wicked to the edge with the solvent.

It’s is unwashed distillate still on the outside of your isolate will do this 100% of the time. Wash your isolate better or recrystallize.
