Is there a way to intentionally capture less terps in a cls?

clients are tired of gg4 and I got a bunch of gg4 coming to blast. Equipment i have access to is a cls with a few filter plates so I can add some carbon or powdered filter to, a vac oven and a bucmer funnel. is there anyway I can process the material or treat the material pre-processing to reduce the terpenes so I can add terpenes of another profile and get a natural ‘cross’ profile?

If you have ever added terps to material finishing as shatter from a cls how many drops per projected oz of finished material did you add?

I say rock what you got, but next time don’t buy gg4! Besides mixing the material with another strain, theres not really too many options.

You can always cook off the terps in the oven. Anywhere in the 120-130F under full vacuum will pull a great deal of them out…Keep it in your oven for about 5 days. Tell me how that tastes.

Now adding back other terps. I dont know about that. LOL. Id like to do that with a lot of my toll processing work… Take the shitty taste out and replace it with a fire taste…I like your thinking.

Well have been working along this line for years
Get terp lab reports from a specific strain You want to reproduce
Have a look at the terpene profiles
Chose the one that seem a good averageof that strain
Lab test your oil to see what terps You have in them already
Then start adding the amount of terps You are missing to get to the amount of terps of your recipe flavor
So like merceen is at 1.2% in the recipe
But your oil only has 0.8 % Ad 0.4%
Etc etc
The tricky part is the flavonoids Need to find a special lab to get a Reading
Try a perfume specialist lab
Search on perfume sites there smels and flavor
Play with them You Will get to know them
And add to your liking
IT s a search but parfumeurs have a lot of knowlidge on this matter
Found most of My info in that corner
Use natural bio terps
Lemon is easy
And several other tastes are not to hard
Make small batches a micro gram scale
And pippetes get You a long way
Untill content then upscale

Maximum amount of terps in oil solution that still shattered in my findings has been 4.2% by volume not weight
Sorry for the late reply but i had to calculate My reports to get to this number
Of course after the vacuum oven 0.6% evaporated of so the shatter was left with 3.6% by volume of terps
Tricky part of this is that iT seems that not the lowest boiling point terps evaporated of the most :thinking:
Yust realized that but Maybe yust the croma test discrepancy is the reason
I also think that low viscosity terps shatter better than high viscosity terps
So look at those numbers When working with them
And last When buying terps You Will notice diffrenses in scent and taste of the same terpene
So one d limonene has a real strong lime scent and the next a tangerine scent
Linanool can be flowery or Woody
Not sure why but its defenetly so
The bio natural terps are hard to find in
99.9% so that might be the reason
