Increasing size of solvent tank, is chiller necessary

so im looking to upgrade the size of my tank.

i do not prechill my fuel as i run crc.

but i do put my tank on dry ice during my active recovery.

I will not be able to lift a larger size tank. SO my question is with an active recovery.

IS a chiller necessary? if I’m running a Condenser coil after my pump?

See: Chemtek W1 HELP For why you might still want to chill your solvent before CRC

As far as “is a chiller necessary”, no. You will benefit from taking the heat your collection and pump add to your solvent back out, but that can trivially be achieved with a coil in cold water (or a dry ice slurry if you must).

Would a chiller help? Sure.

i was just thinking it might raise the pressure in the recovery too high. trs21 pushes it out hot. but if i upgrade my coil to larger spec . i wanted to upgrade to somethign that can hold 100 lbs of solvent.

so its not nessesary for active recovery with a coil? it wont run the pressure up too high?

also how high is too high for psi on the recovery side/

I’ve heard some.coils prior to the tank really helps, In slurry dry ice

Then maybe a keg cooler w ice water and salt?

Run n tane
