Its a cake of DE on a 1 micron filter plate that goes right after the dewax column. It catches the crashed fats to improve the effectiveness of the crc. The fats can also blind the flow easier with clays as opposed to DE so its best to strip em out if possible
run cold for smoke, rerun warm for FULL spectrum edibles.
Just fraction fats and lipids off into separate collection vessel during phase change. Fats float on top of solution.
We run 2 collection vessels and an expansion chamber between.
Really we all need to be using a filter sock after our dewax column so we rarely need to replace it and there’s no flow restriction.
do the filter socks have a triclamp fittin or how are they mounted in a closed loop?
Look into sanitary stainless tri clamp bag filter housings
Depends on how you recover

Can you go into more detail?
too much stuff for me, until im able to toll process legally I smoke flower, I dunno about waxes and stuff.
Thank you bro! I dont have a dewax column will it still work as good if I put it right before the crc? Whats your thoughts on the tampon tek with the fats catcher maybe?
Florisil will grab lipids. Haven’t found anything to remove waxes (long chain hydrocarbons) though…
Bump?
Winterizing does that
I thought you were trying to do something in-line?
I misspoke, meant dewaxing. But yeah dewaxing only is able to remove the biggest of the lipids and waxes
Maybe this is two years late but how so?
CRC remediates fats and lipids?
speaking of winterizing? is that still a thing? I mostly just try and keep it all super cold during extraction. I could test it but ill bet not much would precipitate out . Also strange- why didnt people winterizing accidentally make diamonds before diamonds were a thing? couldnt someone just forget to add alchol and then accidentally make diamonds? approx what year did diamonds get invented? when i did witerize id get a cake of wax. I have goofy buchners and beakers for that but dont need it anymore running so cold. or is my shit waxy still?
