So the female joint must be made on the cow NOT on the vacuum valve

Gotcha, i sent him that pic and explained it to him. In the pic of the cow, it says 50 ml, what is that pertaining to? Hes asking how many ml?? If hes asking about the rf i told him 1000

Why you going double cold trap?

Cuz it’s better that way.

Two traps have always lowered my vac depth enough to justify the extra ice ice baby

The 50 ml is big enough
I think it corresponds to the volume of the cow
Remeber you will need to incline your
Glass by a few degrees to make it fall in the right angle
When using this cow method
Normally it comes with a adaptor that has a inclined glass tube to make it fall out of the center

Is this correct??

He has 250ml in the middle, should i make that smaller??

Lol well consider me the trial and error phase, youll be able to watch the progress and make adjustments to your design…

Yes I think 250 is. Big remember
Your mantel wil be need to set on something to create the space below
The bigger you go the higher the mantel needs to be set
Your coldtrap stands can be moved upward but not. To much
So keep it small

Ok so have him adjust that down to 50ml?

I have it yust not close to take a pic it works really
It s what I use to catch cbn fraqtions

Yeah well yust not to big
The flasks must fit easily with the keg clips on the botom

I told him to make it 100 and reduce my RF down to 500ml each since theres 4, having 4 1000ml RF would be overkill i think since i have a 2L set up

Good choice
You can ask for. 3 250ml flask as well
Your heads and tails fit
On a 2 liter rig

Vacuum take off adapter, that’s atleast what I call it

Uhh I’d just go with the setup you posted not this wacky cow.

Although two traps will be nice for dryness in your pump, it’s not always necessary on your small setup. There will be times you only need one trap where the extra trap adds ice cost but also leak potential.

Lots of joints = lots of potential leaks.

I appreciate the input, i already put it into action, it wasnt expensive so ill work with it, if it doesnt work for me then ill swap it out, no big deal

Cant knock it if i havent tried it yet.

And i know what you mean, about the joints, that’s a must check for me.

Thanks
