Does anybody know approximately how much building space is required for drying an acre of hemp? Any input is appreciated thank you.

Setup in ny is guessing avarage yield of 3000 kg per acre and drying estimate set right now is 600m3 heat assisted

Kind of depends on how you want to dry, hang whole plants? Tiers of trays holding shucked and bucked? Dehydration capabilities can help speed too

Looking into large scale drying for hemp as well. Been looking into sealed shipping containers, using dehumidifiers, a/c and sensors to keep temp and rh @ ~ 60/60. I’m just curious if anyone has done this, or something comparable for drying. Specifically i’m wondering about drying times, air movement, and filling capacity.

Yeah for a normal outdoor grow or somthing small but how on earth could you dry acres in a handful of shipping containers at 60/60

They tell u about 2% of acreage to dry in
1 acre=43500 sq ft (about)
