High quality crude from no so high quality biomass?

Whats up guys. This might be somewhat of a mess of a post but I’m going for it anyway as this forum has been the single biggest resource in getting started.

Got our first runs through our 5L Apeks. Trying to dial in the settings but want some input on our process so we can adjust moving forward.

Started with 5+/- LBS of biomass. Here the kicker; Only tested @ 2.9% CBD content.

collected roughly 150G of crude.

Mixed 10:1 with 200 proof. 36 Hours at -40C
Followed by another 24 at -40C
Cold filtration through 11micron paper on vacuum buchner funnel.
Warm filtration through Celite 545
AC wash and back through the celite
Rotovap (120-90MBar, 40* Vapor Temp Target, 50RPM)
Ended with 60G of this.

Really just trying to get feedback as to how I can improve the color/yield moving forward, especially before I put it through the SPD.

Is it even worth it to continue running this Biomass? Or just send it back to farm and try some higher % material?

Unrelated:
Labs are in process, but when it comes back higher than .3%, is there a way to dilute it to compliance for use in carts as a crude without cutting/mixing?

Thanks in advance everyone!

Man with so much good biomass around i would search for the good stuff
Prices dropping steadilly so you need 5x more runs to achieve the same amount
Chances of getting below 0.3 thc even with this type of biomass is close to none

There is no way to dilute without diluent.

And you really should homogenize should you choose to add diluent.

There is trickery to remove that thc. I haven’t had time to explore any of the available routes. Most are pay to play, and some are being held as trade secrets.

There is always the oven teck
9 days in an oven at 90 C will take 50% of your thc to mistery land

I’ve been looking into a few remediation sop but nothing that we can move on quite yet.

What would you recommend as a diluent in a cart? Terp will only get it so far.

If i didnt need my oven for decarb I would defintely give this a shot.

Any oven doesn t need to be vacuum

No clue. I’m not going for compliant vape pens.

My crude is at 4% THC, so even a 90% cut won’t cut it…
