Gunk in Isolate

I have been working with some CBD isolate, that we didn’t make, that has some small black, white, and sometimes clear bits in it. Like, we cook it with some MCT and then strain it and the strainer is filled with little bits of gunk. Anybody have any insight on what this might be? Are they contaminates?

I hear chinese CBD is being shipped over with heavy metals in it. Something tells me anything that is supposed to be CBD, but, won’t dissolve in MCT, is almost certainly a contaminate.

Basically what extek said. Also if you are working in a unsanitary place isolate picks up a lot of stuff really fast and can easily cause it to gunk up.

If they aren’t using a quality filter paper black spots could be plant material. Still a contaminate.

That’s what I thought it might be.
