See, it worked out for you there in TX. Something to look forward to.
I hope this good news helps quell a lot the non-cannabis/drug related political posts that seem to want to create a vibe of discontent that is meant to be spread to the reader. If there wasn’t a better sign of hope for someone from Texas, I would never expect Gov Abbot to veto a THC ban with the extreme positions he has taken in the past. This is really cool & surprising to see along with also the expansion?(Not sure if that’s accurate) of medical marijuana in TX.
Yeah, everyone chill. You’re only at the whims of the unpredictable and unexpected.
I agree, this was a somewhat unexpected outcome for Abbott.
I think pressure from both sides was alarming and allowing a thc ban would ultimately jeopardize his reelection campaign, even though he’s held the office since 2015. Cannabis is a very bipartisan issue and only a small minority were happy about a potential ban.
I called it.
I’m a bit perplexed by this. While this is a step in the right direction for Texas, I don’t think it qualms issues of discontent with our nation or current affairs.
Are people really that off put by off topic non cannabis related discussion and expressions?
I’m confused because over the years I’ve witnessed a slew of pro Trump and anti Biden/harris posts and memes doing virtually the exact same thing I’m doing. Which is exactly why I’ve chosen to represent the counter point. Openly pro Trump content has been unabashedly expressed echoed and praised for years by many active members. Is the goal to remove political discourse from this platform?
I’m not fabricating a vibe as much as I’m relaying a reality that exists in society. I didn’t make most of the memes but I enjoy mocking subjects. I view Trump and many of his supporters as bullies, I hate bullies and try to bully the bully.
That said, I don’t want to clutter this post with non related off topic political discussions, we have designated free speech areas now for that
Congrats on the veto fellas, sincerely!
It sounds like he vetoed the bill because he knew it was unconstitutional and unenforceable, would spend years embroiled in litigation only to untimely fail. Similar to what happened with Arkansas attempt. This would continue to leave the market unregulated and won’t address his safety concerns.
He’s calling a special session in July to have them draft a bill that will legally regulate the hemp market, giving suggestions that closely resembles regulations imposed on legal cannabis in recreational states. Even suggesting that stores who sell legal hemp be prohibited to adults 21 and over, which would eliminate gas stations and similar non specialty generic stores.
This is a step in the right direction for sure. Along with recently passing expansion of our medical program, Texas seems to finally be making to positive changes related to cannabis.
It’s the first time I’ve seen someone call for lab fraud to be a felony

Hes such an ass hat
I listened to about 5 minutes and had to turn it off, the fact they think they cant regulate hemp is hilarious
It’s not even that they can’t, Dan Patrick just doesn’t want to. He doesn’t even want adults to have access to it. He said as much recently in a press conference where he threw bags of edibles news media.
