First run through with short path distillation. Need a hand. Mantle is up to 220 with no reaction. I let it slide to 250 with no reaction as well. It starts to vaporize but then doesn’t travel up the neck.
It is almost certainly a vacuum leak. Do you have a vacuum gauge?

Could it all be a problem with heat no traveling up the neck far enough? When I had the mantle at 200 there was vapor but it wasn’t traveling through. Or is that the leak doing that. I have another gauge on the vacuum not digital and it reads -1, no leak
That gauge says “atmosphere”, AKA no vacuum at all. So you have either a critical leak or your vacuum pump isn’t working (or did you forget to turn it on)?
